Andy Harrington is an OG when it comes to the Idaho Basketball Coaching Podcast.
Coach Harrington was one of the first listeners, supporters, and guests on the show. He appeared on Episode 7 to be exact. Since then he has become a 3-time state champion coach — 1 at Middleton High School and 2 at Owyhee High School.
As I joke in the latest episode with Harrington, we have to give his appearance on the podcast back in 2020 a lot of credit for his success.
Joking aside, Harrington (and his staff) have worked their tails off getting to this point. Yes, he has some very talented players — one of which is suiting up for USC next season — but just because you have a collection of good players doesn’t mean you will have success.
The short video clip includes Harrington talking about about how Owyhee’s offensive concepts came together. It also includes clips of some of those concepts from the Storm’s win over Timberline in the 5A state championship game.
In this episode, we also talk about defense, assistant coaches, administration support and several other topics.
